7 students, 2 teams, 36 hours, a journey to the historic campus of #HarvardUniversity and an incredible experience, #HackHarvard2018 was a huge opportunity for these students of creation labs from #VIT. Teams “Argos” and “#Agrobuddy” participated in this hackathon which included 110 teams with 337 participants from across the globe.
Team Argos, comprising of Shruti Gangopadhyay, Sharon Richu shaji, Harshit Agrawal and Aakarsh Nayyar, built a wearable device to assist the visually impaired while Team Agrobuddy comprising of Shivam Sahil, R. Yeshwanth and Anant Nambiar built a farming assistance bot.
Team Argo impressed the representatives from #Google immensely with their product, which has led to talks with the Google executives regarding some form of #collaboration or #mentorship.
Team Agro, on the other hand, grabbed the category prize  “Best use of API” Moreover, representatives from #Alibaba were extremely interested in the product.
Thus, hack Harvard not only provided the students with a platform to showcase their ideas, but it also gave the students widespread exposure and a chance to interact with students from universities all across the world and executives from some of the most popular tech giants.
Thank You, Team, for making VIT Proud!
